Register to become a Komen Florida Suncoast Affiliate Volunteer.

Led by more than 100,000 survivors and activists, Komen is the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting to end breast cancer forever.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

• Office Volunteers
  Affiliate office volunteers needed to assist with special projects, including answering the phone lines, filing, typing, organizing, etc. The office is open from 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Flexible schedule and small shifts available.
  
  


• Donor Database Coordinator
  If you have the availability to come to the Affiliate office in downtown St.Petersburg once a week, the Donor Database Manager might be the ideal volunteer position for you. The Donor Database Coordinator is responsible for writing thank you notes for all of the Affiliates individual donors and entering the data into the current database. This volunteer must be proficient in word and excel.
  
  
• Education Committee Members
  Outgoing and love talking to individuals? The Education Committee is currently seeking volunteers to help with health fairs, speaking requests and yearly projects. Members of the Education Committee will help with a Pink Sunday Event, the I AM THE CURE campaign, as well as any other programs that are developed.
  
  

• Cook for the Cure®:
  Cook for the Cure®, presented by KitchenAid, gives those with a passion for cooking a way to support the breast cancer movement. The Affiliate needs a chair to help to build the Cook for the Cure®, program in our Affiliate area.
  
  
• Bowl for the Cure:
  Bowlers can designate one league night to donate a specific amount, such as a nickel per pin, or stage pledge nights, raffles and auctions. Local bowling associations also are encouraged to team up with Komen Affiliates to conduct a Bowl for the Cure® event for the entire community in their service area. The Affiliate needs a chair to help to organize Bowl for the Cure events in the Affiliate area.
  
  
  
• Rally for the Cure®:
  Susan G. Komen for the Cure is honored to benefit from Rally for the Cure®, presented by Golf For Women Magazine®. Since its inception, the Rally program’s goal has been to increase breast health awareness among amateur women golfers by supporting the mission of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Affiliate needs a volunteer to help recruit new Golf Clubs to hold a Rally for the Cure® event as well as continue the successful relationship with the golf clubs who already participate.
  
  
• Education Committee:
  The Education Committee is currently looking for volunteers who are interested in spreading the breast health awareness messages of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to individuals in the Affiliate area. The Education Committee is responsible for managing the education tables at various events as well as coordinating special education events like I AM THE CURE® and Pink Sunday.
