The promise of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for everyone and energizing science to find the cure. The Organization runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. In addition to funding research, the Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sarasota counties. In 2009, we awarded nearly $1.4 million to local community programs.

The Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure offers grants of up to $150,000.00 for innovative projects in the areas of breast health and breast cancer education, outreach, screening, and treatment support targeting services not otherwise available to the medically underserved populations of Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties.

Requests for Proposal for the 2010-2011 fiscal year (April 1 through March 31) are not currently available.
